Thank you to everyone who has joined us for season one of Mental Health Matinees, watched an episode (or six!) of SOUND MIND, or taken part in one of our recent Mental Health First Aid sessions. We have loved seeing you all, and we hope you have found these programs useful.

We’re thrilled to announce season two of Mental Health Matinees, kicking off on Thursday, 12th November. As we begin to navigate new ways of working, the unknown of how we operate can be daunting. These sessions explore self-care skills and techniques and offer practical tips for traversing the ‘new normal’. If you missed any of the sessions from season one, you can catch up here.

Speaking of announcements, the second edition of Spotlight: The Arts Wellbeing Collective Magazine is now live! Thank you to the more than 100 people who contributed to this wonderful edition, we are honoured to showcase the incredible work happening across our sector.

And – (yes, we’ve been busy) – the next six episodes of the podcast series, House Lights Up are now available! New episodes include Insight, Adaptability, Experience, People, Courage, and Self-Compassion. Listen now on the Arts Wellbeing Collective website, or on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

Finally, the last session of Mental Health First Aid for 2020 is now fully booked. If you would like to join the wait list for 2021, please complete an Expression of Interest, and we’ll contact you in the New Year. The response to these sessions has been incredible, and we are thankful that we’ve been able to deliver five courses in the last two months. Congratulations to everyone who has participated and are now accredited Mental Health First Aiders.

As always, look after yourselves, and look after each other. Ask for help and accept it. The Support Act Wellbeing Helpline is there for you on 1800 959 500, and remember there’s also a Manager Support Hotline, and dedicated First Nations Support – all completely free of charge, and entirely confidential.

Wishing you good health and creativity,
The team at Arts Centre Melbourne
